Vice President, Project and Contract Management

Neena Hemmady is a civil and environmental engineer with over 25 years in the electric utility industry serving in roles including environmental, health and safety, strategy, merger integration, enterprise risk management, and security. Hemmady now serves as the vice president of project and contract management at ComEd. In this role, she is responsible for the execution of a more than $1B portfolio of work, including large transmission and distribution projects, interconnection of renewables, and reliability programs. She also is responsible for environmental strategy and compliance, contracting strategy and oversight, and real estate and facilities. ComEd provides electric service to more than nine million people across northern Illinois, or 70 percent of the state’s population. ComEd is a subsidiary of Exelon Corporation (NASDAQ: EXC), the nation’s leading electric utility leading the clean energy transformation.
Hemmady has served on numerous boards of directors on a range of issues and is active in numerous diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. She currently serves on the board of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR). She was recently recognized by
Crain’s Chicago Business
as a Leader in Sustainability.
